Job Description : Aspen Creek Veterinary Hospital in Conifer, CO is looking for a full or part time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Our hospital treats both large and small animals, so some experience with large animals is required. We practice high quality medicine and place a strong emphasis on patient and client relationships, so good communication skills are valuable. Daily job duties include but are not limited to: restraining animals for exams and tests, checking clients into rooms, calling clients back with lab results and to check on the patients, cleaning instruments and the facility, running blood work, and overall help keep doctors on track.
Our ideal applicant is someone that is compassionate with our patients, good with clients, and is a team-player willing to tackle whichever jobs may get thrown their way. Knowledge of animals is required but we can teach you the veterinary and technical side of the job.
Our practice has 4 doctors and is open 6 days a week, with shortened hours on Saturdays. Any new hire will be expected to rotate into the on-call and Saturday schedule, so please keep that in mind when applying.
We have free daycare for children on-site! Our amazing daycare leader cares for a maximum of four children of employees at any given time. If you don’t enjoy kids, don’t worry – they are in a different building so they don’t interfere with our daily work.
We offer our technicians and assistants 4-day work weeks, discounts on services and medications for your pets in addition to free dog daycare and discounted pet boarding at the facility. We also offer uniforms, paid time off, employer contributions towards health, accident and dental insurance and competitive pay based on experience. Full or part-time position available. Pay is dependent upon experience but starts at $31,200/year ($15/hour) for someone with minimal experience.
