Job Description : Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis
The Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for directing and leading Red Robin’s long range strategic financial plans. Oversees teams that provide financial reporting and analytic support across the organization to consult functional leaders regarding business performance and opportunities. Conducts business case analysis for the Company’s key initiatives. This position serves as an integral part of the senior team in providing financial expertise and consultative support for a broad range of strategic initiatives that will capitalize on best-in-class financial planning and analysis across Red Robin.

Responsibilities:
Directs and leads long range financial planning, including strategic growth initiatives for RRGB

Leads the development of the 5-year strategic plan, annual plans, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); establishing performance expectations for the organization
Communicates the vision and strategy for RRGB, including cascading strategic initiatives to functional leaders of the company, the Board of Directors, to shareholders and to external business partners
Under the direction and guidance of the CFO, interacts with shareholders and industry analysts, prepares investor materials and partners with the Financial Reporting team on SEC filings and financial press releases
Leads cash flow forecasting and compliance with loan agreements, and interacts with lenders and financial advisors
Leads the financial analysis to identify trends, threats, and opportunities and advises functional leaders on performance against plans
Provides counsel and collaborates with functional business leaders regarding business strategy to achieve the financial plan

Oversees the analytic and reporting support to all business functions

Leads the Operations and Business Analytic functions to provide analysis and reporting support to all business functions with a focus on consulting functional leaders regarding business performance and opportunities
Builds commitment to key stakeholders by championing best in class financial models
Partners with Executive Team and other senior leaders of the Company to achieve consensus on business strategy
Manages the ongoing forecasting process and produces period and quarterly financial reports
Partners with accounting to facilitate period and quarterly Close activities
Provides strong, proactive leadership of the analytic staff to develop staff, maintain a positive business climate, motivate Team Members, and functions as an effective advocate for change and growth

Collaborates with leadership to build the business case analysis for the Company’s key initiatives

Develops ideas and execution plans for new business initiatives that will increase profitability of the Company
Conducts financial modeling for refranchising opportunities

Requirements

10 or more years of strategic and proactive senior management experience, preferably for a publicly traded company
5+ years of corporate financial planning and analysis in the restaurant and/or multi-unit restaurant/retail industries
Superior knowledge of strategic financial planning, financial modeling, and financial analysis;
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Software (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) ;
Working knowledge of planning, forecasting, and reporting systems; Oracle/JDE/ERP systems; and Hyperion/Business Intelligence systems;
Demonstrated ability to draw critical conclusions from financial analyses and make persuasive recommendations;
Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills to provide authoritative advice and recommendations to support a best in class financial culture;
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to work closely with other senior officers to elicit, refine, and articulate vision;
Ability to establish trust and credibility to build supportive relationships;
Proven ability to identify and solve problems independently;

Compensation Range: $157,645.00 – $236,441.88
