Job Description : Foundant’s Vice President of People is an important leadership role that requires working experience in all aspects of the HR function, strong communication skills, demonstrated ability to effectively lead and develop HR team members, and an exceptional ability to work across teams and manage change. You will partner with the executive leadership team to understand Foundant’s long-term mission and business priorities and then develop and implement people-centric HR, and talent management strategies that support these priorities, increase organizational effectiveness, and align with our culture and core values.
You are responsible for the overall HR function including organizational and team member development, performance management, team member engagement and satisfaction, talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefit planning, and personnel issues. You are also responsible for developing and leading the HR team to support the company’s HR needs, including consideration of both on-site and remote team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and implement people-centric HR strategic plans and initiatives that communicate and support the company’s Mission, Values, Vision, and Brand Promise. Initiatives inclusive of, but not limited to:
Strong, consistent, and equitable recruiting and onboarding processes new team members.
A program for feedback and performance management for team members.
An ongoing development program for all team members.
An efficient compensation and benefits program to attract and retain top talent.
Demonstrate a commitment to equity, excellence, and high expectations for all team members by creating organizational policies and structures that remove barriers and foster inclusion for all.
Maintain knowledge of HR and talent management policies, programs, laws, and issues.
Ensure compliance with employment, benefit, insurance, safety, and other relevant laws and regulations.
Develop and maintain appropriate policies and ensure team member awareness of and compliance with relevant policies.
Provide guidance and leadership to people managers; assist with resolution of human resources, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
Create, track, and report KPIs to assess effectiveness of and/or need for HR programs and talent management effectiveness.
Support Foundant building operations and associated administrative needs.
Lead by example to foster professional and respectful interactions with team members and across the company.
As part of the executive leadership team:
Develop corporate level strategies while acting in a manner that creates alignment and confidence in the business operations.
Drive company-wide initiatives while effectively leading teams and team members through change.
Support the ongoing development of the Foundant team through timely communication and feedback, active participation, and demonstrated support of mission, vision, and values.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
10+ years of HR experience, with prior experience as a VP of HR or equivalent role.
Strong working knowledge of HR best practices and national and multi-state employment-related laws and regulations.
Experience in all facets of HR, with an emphasis on developing and implementing programs for performance management, team member development, and team engagement.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to implement and scale programs and practices.
Strong project management and time management skills.
Experience developing and reporting HR-related metrics.
Experience developing and supporting programs to improve diversity, equity, and inclusivity.
Experience with a growing organization of 200+ team members
Experience with a hybrid workplace, remote team members.
Experience in a software / high-tech environment a plus.
Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
Relevant certifications are a plus (SPHR or SCP preferred).
