We’re seeking a uniquely talented Strategy Analyst to join our strategy team at Volaris Group. We are a key operating group under Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU), one of the world’s largest conglomerate that acquires, strengthens and grows vertical market software companies globally. Since 1996, Volaris Group has acquired and now owns 100+ software businesses in 35+ countries across 20+ verticals and is still growing rapidly.
Job Description:
What you’ll do
For this role, the successful candidate will be directly reporting to the Head of Strategy. You can expect to gain exposure and work with senior leadership across the organization. This is an amazing role to learn about and contribute to almost every aspect of managing successful software companies with the opportunity to get involved with the M&A due diligence process through strategy analysis, market research and/or financial modeling. It is as dynamic as you can make it with wide-open opportunities to progress within the organization in the long-term. Responsibilities will include:
Performing industry and trend research, market analysis and market sizing to evaluate a potential M&A target or a business problem
Assisting leaders of our businesses in strategic planning and long-term business strategy building
Collecting, analyzing and synthesizing key insights from various data sources to inform strategy development and next steps
Evaluating the potential of growth initiatives across our businesses
Analyzing revenue and cost data from our current customers to identify growth opportunities
Working with our M&A department to create financial models to predict and monitor return of our growth investments
Generating ideas and formulating processes to help promote a culture of innovation
Other special projects as required
Qualifications:
Strong performance in an undergraduate degree in business, engineering, mathematics, etc.
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Proven record of leadership in extracurricular activities and/or through internship or co-op
A self-starter able to take on ownership and get work done effectively
Passion for learning and creative problem-solving
Willingness to travel at least once every quarter
Experience in start-ups and/or with innovation projects is a plus
Experience in data visualization in PowerBI is a plus
