Job Description : Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, United Raw Distribution Inc., Canada’s leading distributor of Frozen Food for Pets is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Picker/Receiver to join their rapidly growing Distribution Team.The Role: This is a physically demanding role with much of the shift spent in a cold-storage environment (walk-in freezer). It requires a great attitude and ability to work quickly, adapting as necessary. A keen eye for detail is required for multi-brand fulfillment accuracy. Desire to learn and willingness to pivot in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding company is essential to success in the role.Customer orders are picked from pick lists, then packed in boxes and labelled for delivery. Outgoing order accuracy is absolutely essential in ensuring customer satisfaction. Loading reefer trucks in the proper order to ensure deliveries can be made correctly and efficiently.Frozen product is shipped in several times each week. Receiving and stocking protocols must be followed to ensure proper inventory management. We value effort, attitude and hard work. Potential for growth is always an option.Essential Functions: Working in a walk-in freezer for the majority of the shift (8+hrs, non-consecutive, all cold weather PPE provided) picking product, fulfilling orders, stocking shelves, reorganizing stock, rotating stock, completing weekly inventory counts, etc.Willing to wear all required cold weather PPE (provided)Willing to follow all company safety SOPs for freezer and warehouse workAbility and willingness to lift and manoeuvre up to 50lbs repetitively inside a freezer and on the warehouse floorAbility and willingness to push/pull a cart, dolly or pallet jack with 300 – 1500lbs loadsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team – both are requiredKeeping the warehouse clean is a mandatory quality control and safety measureOther duties as assigned/necessaryQualifications: Please note that while the following qualifications are desirable, candidates with reasonable equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.Warehouse experienceExperience working in a cold storage environmentShipping/receiving experienceAbility to properly lift over 50lbsKnowledge or interest in Raw Food for PetsTraining is providedLove of pets – please be aware that there are dogs on the premisesBenefits: We always have coffeeAccuracy Target RewardsQuarterly (minimum) Staff LunchesDiscounted or free food for pets (Staff Feeding Program)Extended Health CareDental CareVacationJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $20.00 per hourAdditional pay:Overtime payBenefits:Casual dressCompany eventsDental careDisability insuranceDiscounted or free foodEmployee assistance programExtended health careSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftExperience:Warehouse distribution: 1 year (preferred)Order picking: 1 year (preferred)Willingness to travel:25% (preferred)
