Position : Wildland Firefighter
Job Description : Rocky Mountain Fire Company (RMFC) is hiring new firefighters for the coming 2022 fire season!
The Firefighter Type 2 serves on a hand crew or engine crew, performing fire suppression and fuels management duties in the most adverse climate, fuel, and terrain conditions. The FFT2 has no supervisory responsibilities and is supervised by the Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1) or one of the Single Resource Bosses (CRWB, HEQB, ENGB, FELB, FIRB, HMGB).
No experience necessary. RMFC trains, certifies, and verifies all applicants that complete the screening process. This process involves a 5 day training course, field day, physical fitness test, background check, and drug screening.
This is at will employment and RMFC prefers applicants that can dispatch from its Home Base in Missoula MT within 40 minutes. Wage is based on experience and rank.
