Position : Winemaker
Job Description : Vinnie Fera is a local craft winery located in Boulder, Colorado that is in growth mode. The Winemaker is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the wine production process.
Responsibilities
· Perform all day-to-day operations including crushing, wine making, cellar & barrel management, bottling, labeling, and storage, and other related tasks
· Assist in selection, delivery, and processing of grapes
· Schedule production based on facility capabilities
· Organization and sanitation of equipment and facility, including supervision of maintenance and repairs
· Maintain inventory of supplies and product
· Monitor the condition of all wines to prevent spoilage and loss
· Collaborate with the CEO to innovate new blends and products and adapt to the changing market
Requirements
· Degree in winemaking or comparable experience
· Previous experience as a vintner
· Ability to contribute to tasting
· Ability to make selections regarding yeast, barrels, cellaring and other aspects that contribute to an enjoyable wine.
· Attention to detail
