Job Description : Midway Rental, a fast growing, elite general rental equipment company that operates in markets across the Northwest, is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Yard Technician. We are searching for a qualified and ambitious individual who will ensure equipment meets our quality standards of cleanliness, is punctual, observes all safety measures, and delivers exceptional customer service.As a Yard Technician you will be responsible for washing & detailing of rental equipment for pre-delivery, inspecting small piece equipment, the hook up & receiving of trailered or smaller rented equipment, and assisting in the “curb appeal” and arrangement of equipment in the yard.A typical day might include the following:· Prepping yard for start & close of business (gates, pumps, etc.)· All small to medium equipment is “Rent Ready” and staged or pre-loaded· Loading & Unloading customers as yard flow dictates· As equipment returns, notify Counter of current hours & fuel needed by handheld radio· Stage returned equipment for turnaround or repair & wash equipment· Ensure the yard area is kept clean & organized (moving equipment and/or vehicles)· Deliver equipment to job sites or customer homesJob Requirements: · Ability to take instruction and understand goals and processes· Safety awareness· Self-motivation· Able to pass a Forklift, AWP, and propane training test· Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record· Ability to work fluctuating schedules which include some Saturdays· Ability to lift up to 70 pounds several times throughout a shift· % of workday performing, but not limited to:o Standing 50%o Walking 45%o Sitting 5%This job might be for you if: You are motivated and enjoy helping people.
