Roles and Responsibilities
Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statement to the board of directors.
Ensure compliance of all regulatory aspects including timely payment of taxes, filing of returns, tax audits, assessments, Tax Planning and advisory.
Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
Develop and implement policies, accounting methods, procedures and systems for smooth functioning of the accounts.
Minimize risks through proper and timely guidance and availing of various benefits and concessions available under the Tax laws through tax planning.
Monitor and analyze financial data to produce costing reports or statements with variance analysis for decision making.
Maintain banking and insurance relationships.
Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced.
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
Recommend Cost reducing opportunities and carry out such initiatives throughout the organization.
Prepare various MIS reports as required by the Management.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.
