Job Description : (Seasonal/Contract Position)

LOCATION: Tribal Education Department

Three Chiefs Culture Center

St. Ignatius, MT 59865

SALARY: $12.00 to $13.79 per hour

CLOSING DATE: Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at 5:30 p.m.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

This position is not a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing

policy. A favorable determination resulting from a completed background investigation is required for your

placement in this position. The successful applicant, if not already employed by the Tribes must pass a pre
hire drug test.

This position is seasonal from May through September including an “on call” basis with the exception

of the month of May. The work schedule for May will be Monday through Wednesday for training.

DUTIES:
Greet & welcome general public and customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Answers questions regarding Three Chiefs Culture Center, Confederated Salish & Kootenai
Tribes, CSKT Tribal history and other area attractions.

Assist in entering inventory data into computer.

Assist in sales and restocking of inventory.

Open and close the store at scheduled times.

Receives cash, check and credit card sales, admissions and registrations, entering all
transactions accurately into QuickBooks Pro system.

Cleans and maintains inventory and sales area.

Open and close facility as needed, ensuring the facility is secured and safe from hazard before
leaving the premises.

Provides light security by monitoring customers for shoplifting or other illegal actions, reporting
all suspicious activity to the police as soon as possible. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (AS REFLECTED ON THE TRIBAL EMPLOYMENT

APPLICATION)
Position requires applicant to have some knowledge of Native American Cultures, art, music
and contemporary issues, especially regarding the Salish, Kootenai and Pend d’Oreille tribes.
Preferred applicants must have experience with cash handling; costumer service; computer
knowledge including QuickBooks and Point of Sale.
Must also be able to multitask, follow directions, work independently, and pass a
background check (which is required).
