Position : IT Associate
Job Description : Primary Purpose of Position
The Information Technology Associate is responsible for offering support for all onsite information technology needs, quality, security and delivery of information technology systems and services to both the property and its guest. Install and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks and manages and provide hardware and software maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Test, implement and monitor servers, including database, email, file/print, and back up servers and their associated hardware and software.
Assist management and staff with the daily functions of IT hardware & software. Address guest impact issues immediately.
Assist in performing server and security audit, systems backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Maintain the company LAN and email server, wireless networks from a hardware and software perspective
Acts as the first responder to onsite technology incident and request. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, printer and software issues reported to the Help Desk. Escalate requests to the appropriate party, as needed. Replace or repair defective parts and equipment.
Assist in constructing technology guidelines and safeguards of the company assets.
Upholding the IT guidelines for employees which dictate proper use of computers, peripheral devices, telephones, intranet/internet and all records centers.
Is the prime point of contact in securing the technology equipment for the company.
Maintains telecommunications and network resources to optimize workforce efficiency.
Support and troubleshoot any issues with property operational systems connected to internet, computer, phone, AV equipment.
Education/Experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems including: Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 and Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010, and Office 365.
Knowledge of AV systems: troubleshooting and setup
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and application.
Knowledgeable about wireless technologies.
Experience administering a Microsoft exchange environment.
Experience in network security and best practices.
Previous hotel experience desired and preferred.
Experience with payment technologies, mobile payments, POS encryption banking software system ( CC processing) and PCI compliance rules.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
