Position : Junior Accountant
Job Description : Job Summary: 1. Responsible for day to day accounting tasks as assigned.2. Ensures payments are made timely to the vendors.3. Ensures error free accounting entries.Essential Duties, Responsibilities: 1. Prepares vendor payments by making cheques (PDC) and FT (CDC) by first uploading BPV in alfresco and later uploading macro file on bank’s online portal for management approval.2. Makes error free AP vendor advance payment entries and uploads in workflow.3. Makes error free AP vendor invoice entries and postings.4. Attends vendor delivery order workflow.5. Makes sales invoices entries as per email from cost controller.6. Attends supplier’s calls and responds to all vendor queries in timely manner through email and phone.7. Assist in preparation and filing of quarterly VAT return by coordinating with Finance Manager.8. Periodical review of AP ageing and recording debit memo in coordination with Business Controller for adjustments.9. Records customer RV in alfresco and ERP.10. Following up with vendors for invoice queries and ensuring invoices are processed correctly.11. Responsible for handling general and departmental petty cash and daily reconciliation.12. Responsible for handling credit card entries and reconciliations.Requirements: Technical Competencies & Qualifications: An Accounting degree from a recognized institute is a minimum. Preferably BBA/BCOM.Experienced in financial closing.Good mathematical skills.Value Added Tax knowledge is a must.Computer literate with major focus on ERP software, Ms. Excel and Ms. Power BIEffective decision making and problem-solving skills.Strong reconciliation skills.Good controlling and monitoring skills.Behavioral Competencies: Must have good Communication skills.Must have good Time Management skills.Must believe in Teamwork.Accepts responsibility / accountability.Experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience in relevant fieldJob Type: Full-timeSalary: ₹20,000.00 – ₹25,000.00 per monthSchedule:Day shiftApplication Question(s):Value Added Tax knowledge is a must.Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Accountant: 5 years (Preferred)
