Role Description:
Responsible for handling incidents and H igh A vailability environment incident Management on UNIX Platform [ Redhat & Suse LIN UX ].
Provide Problem Management triggers to iSolve teams and assist in Root Cause Analysis.
Change Management: Implement changes according to the Implementation and back out plan
Perform Health check of Key production environments
Configuration Management: CMDB audits and regular updates of CMDB.
Identify automation opportunities in Incident and change implementation . Develop solutions working with iSolve team
Routine Performance Analysis, Capacity analysis, security audit analysis reports to customer for necessary planned changes
Scripting for monitoring/ automating the Sys admin activity for change scheduled as projects on multiple servers
Responsible for creating and maintaining Standard Operating procedures for incident handling.
Prepare Service delivery reports
Identify and drive continual improvem ent program in UNIX environment and improve the service efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering or 4 Year regular Diploma in electronics or Computer Science
Total 4+ years’ experience and 3 + years relevant experience in UNIX administration.
Experience in working with ITIL based delivery model
Work experience as a sys admin in enterprise class environment.
Work experience on High Availability (Clusters) implementation, configuration and troubleshooting.
Work experience on UNIX virtualization products.
Experience in Shell/Perl scripting, security hardening and security tools.
Interpersonal sensitivity and customer responsiveness
Ability to communicate complex technical contents plainly and simply
Skill Desirable :
SAN/Network hardware configuration Knowledge.
Monitoring tools configuration Knowledge
Knowledge on backup tools, storage arrays, database [Oracle, SQL].
Excellent knowledge of the IT environment and its future trends
PSQ:
1. Good Knowledge in Linux /Unix Server Installations & Configurations,
2. Very good Hands on exp in Clusters
3. Hands on exp with Virtual Servers,
4. Good knowledge in Blade server administration
5. Having certification in RHCE/SUSE
