Functional Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our global tax team based in Gurgaon, India. This is a new opening for an experienced Manager to support the international markets for tax accounting, compliance & reporting at American Express. The successful candidate will gain experience covering a wide range of international jurisdictions supporting US GAAP tax provisioning, and liaising with a third party provider in connection with local statutory reporting and compliance responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Support US GAAP provision reporting
Handling the queries from various stakeholders relating to tax
Working collaboratively with the tax compliance outsource provider to support a range of international Markets for compliance and IFRS process.
Must have the ability to coordinate and work with cross-function teams
Review the RTC under USGAAP for various international markets
Completion of external audit requests
Oversight of related SOX compliance activities
Leading various projects and initiatives for compliance processes
Looking forward for the Automation opportunities in the existing processes and improving them

Experience and Qualification
Certification(s) Required: CA is mandatory
4-6 years of experience working on international tax and/or accounting matters
Big 4 experience a plus
Willingness to work across regions / time zones & build relationships across Finance
Excellent MS Excel skills and good MS Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
