Team Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant. An ideal candidate in this role will be someone with automotive industry background, or other form of manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
Under limited review, and as a seasoned, experienced professional with full understanding of accounting principles, evaluates more complex transactions and records to the GL as necessary to ensure the financials are accurate and complete.
Responsible for the completion of complex balance sheet reconciliations, as well as balance sheet and income statement analysis.
Supports internal customers, develops relationships with various internal and external groups, and maintains/updates current financial information.
Responsible for producing, reviewing, analyzing and issuing periodic reporting
Calculates, reviews and processes journal entries, including consolidation elimination journal entries.
Ensures team meets all deadlines related to monthly and quarterly close activities.
Demonstrates an understanding of various accounting processes and identify root causes and areas for improvements.
Evaluate transactions and record to the GL as necessary to ensure the financials are accurate, complete, and in accordance with US GAAP.
Research accounting literature to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Support and or participate on special projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance and/or the equivalent in experience
CA or CPA
3+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Well organized, detailed oriented, open to change and willing to learn new skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to apply policies and standards consistently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately, comply with deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Google Suite, especially Google Sheets
