Position Title:
Sr. Analyst – Material Cost
Position Summary:
The Global Shared Service Center (GSC-BLR) for Momentive Business provides support services such as IT, Finance, HR support etc. across MPM.
Global Finance Team (GFS-BLR) provides range of Finance support services such RTR, Transfer Pricing, Business/Ops. Support, FP&A, Tax, AP& Purchase support, etc.
The incumbent of this role will be part of the GFS-Finance Support Team working with the Global Finance Services Leader independently to ensure timely execution & delivery of commitments as per the roles and responsibilities defined, to meet expectations of our functional stakeholders in the Global Supply Chain Finance team. The candidate should display a great sense of accountability, ethics at work and be willing to take over additional responsibilities from time to time.
Job Description:
Tasks and responsibilities of the position:
Global
Responsible for planning, analyzing, and driving execution of material cost
Analyze Raw Material purchases and maintain accuracy and controllership of financials
Advise Operations and Business Unit Finance teams on material and develop and implement process improvement recommendations to drive efficiencies and cost visibility
Responsible for delivering efficient and accurate financial reporting and analysis to internal clients (Operations/Supply Chain Management, Business Units and Sectors) and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting standards and Momentive’s internal financial policies
Responsible for analysis of monthly Inflation, variance vs Standard and financial reporting of logistics cost; budgeting process of material cost, quarterly forecasting, and ad hoc estimations;
Design and improve process/reporting of Raw Material cost and work with appropriate business partners to deliver on assigned projects
Review and approve specific business transactions as determined by Momentive’s delegation of authority policy, in coordination with Operations Finance Management, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, and Sector and Business Unit Management teams
Decision Making Authority:
Medium – High (aligned with Glb Supply Chain Finance Leader)
Key Metrics- Role is Accountable For:
Minimize risk to customer delivery by accurately analyzing and driving execution of material cost. Driving efficient and accurate financial reporting, AOP and other adhoc estimations. Managing, evaluating, analyzing financial and cost accounting data and creating business reporting.

Basic Qualifications:
C.A/ MBA finance/ Cost Accountant exposure in analytics, accounting, business, or related field
Min. 4-5 years of progressive finance experience as a Finance Analyst, Cost Analyst, Operations Analyst, or related role
Critical thinking and strategic mindset
Strong Material Cost Planning & Analysis, Financial Analysis, Budgeting,
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams in a global environment across different time zones
Fluency in English is mandatory
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong working experience using SAP/Business Warehouse
Advanced MS Excel (Filters, Pivots, Dynamic Charts, Formulas, VLOOKUP, and MS PowerPoint experience
Working knowledge of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls including Sarbanes-Oxley Act; U.S. accounting rules and regulations including historical cost, revenue recognition, matching and full disclosure principles
