Position : 2nd Wardrobe Assistant
Job Description : SummaryThe 2nd Wardrobe Assistant will work alongside the Wardrobe Department and will be responsible for assisting in all areas of the wardrobe department inclusive of delivery of wardrobe to talent, set coverage, assist daily with show laundry, organization of wardrobe lockers, and packing/shipping of items as needed.
Essential Functions
Assist with inventory management, including the processing of new inventory, returnable inventory, and continued organization of existing inventory.
Accompany talent to set and stay on set to address any wardrobe needs during live and pre-recorded show tapings.
Organization/Streamlining of studio space and wardrobe room space, as well as maintaining adequate levels of studio supplies.
Responsible for preparing clothing for talent to wear on air, such as, cleaning, steaming, and ironing looks.
Assist with the processing of large quantities of dry cleaning and alterations. This includes the processing new dry cleaning /alterations and dispersing of returned dry cleaning/ alterations.
Applicant must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Applicant must have a strong understanding of fabrics and fabric care.
Applicant with sewing skills is preferred but not required.
Applicant must be extremely organized, hardworking, works well under pressure, and a team player.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
1-2 years prior assistant wardrobe styling experience in Television/Media production for on-air talent
Excellent interpersonal & communications skills
Strong work ethic, positive attitude with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment
Design skills and knowledge
Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree/High School Diploma or GED preferred
