YOUR ROLE
The PLC Shift Programmer will be responsible to assist, create, and update both programs/graphics for new projects as well as existing ones.
Troubleshoot both Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs using RSLogix and TIA portal.
Work with Engineering, Maintenance and Production Department personnel throughout the process to ensure the accuracy of all PLC functions and electrical systems.
Oversight and implementation of the MOC that impacts programming, sensors, equipment set points.
Provide leadership / facilitate root cause on reactive downtime using programming to troubleshoot (when there isn’t a broken part, uses laptops to troubleshoot why machine won’t move / home).
Support shift for pallet patterns, cameras and sensors, clarinet, PLCs, networks, servers.
Work with plant programmers to complete programming work orders as assigned.
YOUR SKILLS
Associate degree in PLC programming, automation controls, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of RSLogix, TIA Portal, FactoryTalk.
Familiar with manufacturing process, conveyor systems, drives, and sensors.
Able to read electrical drawings, basic electrical knowledge.
Preferred: Allen Bradley Rockwell Certificates, FANUC experience, Network experience.
Proficient at troubleshooting using programming code.
Standing for extended period of times (minimal).
