About the Position
FRED & Registry Services are responsible for the University’s administration and policy implementation related to undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework and research) students. The team ensures that student processes are administered according to academic and administrative guidelines and that the administration of student processes complies with all policies and procedures of the University and works towards improving customer service for students and all key stakeholders.
The position of Administrative Assistant is a key operational coordination and customer service position for the University. Due to the nature of the role, the position holder is expected to be highly systematic and organized in their approach to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of customer service as the first point of contact for student enquiries with the view to answering all enquiries in a timely and efficient manner (via in-person, email, telephone, live chat etc)
Provide accurate, valid and complete information to students
Respond to and track enquiries, ensuring ownership of unresolved enquiries until complete
Make an initial assessment of the complexity and priority to be given to resolving each enquiry, including possible underlying issues.
Make referrals to specialist teams, including the scheduling of appointments for follow up advice and counselling.
Escalate any issues that require further investigation or discussion for future operational planning
Develop and maintain a good overall understanding of the work of the various administrative areas within the University
Deal with and record any complaints received through FRED and ensure resolution within reasonable timelines
Assist with the development and implementation of process improvement strategies and solutions to improve service provision to students, faculties and key stakeholders.
Support and participate in student life-cycle events as required, such as orientation, enrolment, examination and graduation.
Undertake other duties of a similar nature as reasonably required by the Line Manager.
Essential Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate discipline
Minimum of 2 years’ experience using student administration systems

Expert spreadsheet (Excel) skills
Ability to meet compliance/policy requirements
Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality at all times
Has integrity and operates with transparency

Remuneration
The successful candidates will receive a remuneration package which includes an attractive tax free salary ranging from AED 84,000 – AED 96,000 per annum, five weeks of paid leave per year, annual air ticket, private medical insurance for self and eligible dependents, life & disability policy, professional development assistance, education allowance for up to 3 eligible children, professional development and fee waiver for self and dependents looking to pursue higher studies.
