Job Description : POSITION: ADMITTING CLERK

DEPARTMENT: ADMITTING

SHIFT: ROTATING SHIFTS (7A-3P, 3P-11P, 11P-7A) and as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or equivalent. Must be able to type 35 or more WPM, must be computer knowledgeable and have excellent communication skills. Must have previous Hospital Admitting/Patient Access Registration experience, with knowledge of the different types of Insurance Coverage’s. Must be dependable and flexible due to rotating shifts.

DUTIES:

Must be able to function in all aspects of in-patient as well as out-patient Admitting/Patient Access Registration. Must have the ability to work under pressure, ability to communicate with patients in a calm and efficient manner, and to tolerate all aspects of patient care.
