Introduction:
The Application Support Analyst will perform a critical role in Application Support and Service Management with responsibility to ensure stability, continuity and availability of applications, in addition to providing rapid response and recovery. Technical support and Maintenance of the Business Services and Applications, reactive and proactive application support.
What will you be doing?
The Application Support Analyst will perform a critical role in Application Support and Service Management with responsibility to ensure stability, continuity and availability of the application, in addition to providing rapid response to incidents and escalated users queries.
Ownership and prioritisation of individual Incidents and ensuring the delivery of solutions in line with the Service Level agreements and Operational Level Agreements to deadlines and quality standards, providing regular update to key stakeholders and all levels
The delivery of documentation to agreed standards, on time and error free
Provide 24/7 cover and support, providing expertise and specialised system knowledge to allow resolution of key incidents outside of business hours
Identify proactive remedial strategies to prevent future software problems and to improve the quality of delivered software.
Proactive and reactive monitoring and alerting
Own and contribute to individual Service Improvement items including incident reduction and automation

What we’re looking for:
Programming Languages
Should have at least 5 years experience on Unix/Linux platform (Unix commands and scripting)
Should have bsic understanding on core java concepts and should know how to troubleshot errors.
Should have understanding on openshift concepts (PODS restart, scale up/scale down of PODS, troubleshooting of errors in PODS etc)
Should have expert knowledge on Oracle database ( writing complex SQL queries, PL/SQL stored procedure, debugging DB errors etc)

Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience supporting APIs (RAML, Service Mesh) and aPaaS hosted applications
Experience using Alerting & Monitoring tools such as AppD, Netcool, ELK, Splunk and the ability to configure
ITIL v3 or above foundation certified
Cloud Technologies, AWS, Openshift
