L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking an Assembler to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.
Position Overview:

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly and automated test operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.Works under general supervision. Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. Adherence to L3 policies and procedures including ESD, FOD, and housekeeping and other duties as assigned by the area supervisor or manager Work Environment and Physical Requirements Frequently required to use hand movements, repetitive motions, grasping, holding, hand-eye coordination, color distinction, visual inspection, and measuring/assembling at distances close to the eye. Periodically exposed to potentially hazardous conditions including extreme noise levels, lasers, electricity, radiation, machinery and equipment, chemicals, and toxic metals. Essential Responsibilities:

Works under general supervision.
Follows established processes to complete tasks.
Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.
Less detailed instructions are provided and moderate peer review is required.
Occasionally may lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Experience reading and interpreting diagrams, tables, schematics, test procedures and engineering instructions Responsibilities
Experience working from test procedures, diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Security Clearance (Secret)
Previous Electromechanical test or assembly experience
Active/Current IPC certification.
Comfortable using PC based applications
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Effective communication skills
