Position : Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education
Job Description : The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty member in the College of Education (CEDU). We are looking for candidates with a PhD/EdD in Early Childhood Education who can teach on teacher training programmes, specialising in preparing student teachers to teach in early years education (up to age 8 years). In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise at Masters level. Candidates are expected to have:
A PhD/EdD in early childhood education or a closely related field;
the ability to train student teachers to teach in early years settings;
a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student supervision at the undergraduate and graduate levels;
a demonstrable research capability in their field of expertise.
experience of engagement with external organisations in service/consultancy work.

UAEU is based in the city of Al Ain in the Abu Dhabi Emirate. This city is approximately 90 minutes’ drive from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. UAEU is ranked 284th in the World according to QS rankings. English is the language of instruction and communication within UAEU.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants MUST have a doctoral qualification in Early Years Education or a closely related field.
Applicants must have experience of preparing undergraduate students to be teachers of young children.
Applicants must be fluent in English.
