Job Description : Assistant Vice President – Strategy & Execution Lead – GFC
This role is a central and critical position within the Global Finance Centre (GFC) organization focused on driving change across GFC teams and delivery of the Strategy. This position will own the execution of the Roadmap which incorporates changes in operating model and processes. The role will be at the forefront of transforming the GFC into the “best in class” global R2R organization. This individual will report directly to the Head of GFC and will work closely with GFC Leadership Team and other senior stakeholders.
GFC Strategy Execution
Primary responsibility for delivery and execution of GFC Strategy working closely with the leadership team
Business ownership of GFC “transformation roadmap” covering a number of key initiatives
Continuous assessment of implementation risks, priorities, resource requirements, critical dependencies and assumptions behind implementation plans to ensure timely and effective execution
Assist in developing and executing a change management framework to ensure changes in operating model and internal processes are reflected timely
Drive the Productivity Improvement initiatives in the capacity of PMO and report progress to Head of GFC and the leadership team
Drive the budgeting process for GFC headcount as part of the planning exercise
Track and monitor the hiring and attrition dashboards
Develop a reporting framework to assist in providing periodic updates to senior management on the status of transformation efforts
Program Management and Change Leadership
Demonstrated experience of program management and delivery of change management initiatives
Demonstrated ability to partner with key technology stakeholders and external vendors on large technology implementations. Experience with large complex and cross organization projects
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and drive execution at all levels of the organization on a global basis
Risk Excellence and Operational Excellence mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines and goals
Education and Experience
Bachelor/Master Degree in Finance or MBA
Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) a plus
10+ years of progressive career in line Finance roles at a financial institution in a Controllership, FP&A and Change Management roles
Prior company-wide ownership of financial processes in a financial institution – close and consolidation, ledger and sub-ledger processes, master data management, risks and controls framework
Prior practical experience in main areas of Record to Report (R2R) process (accounting, close & consolidation, transfer pricing/allocations, balance sheet substantiation, regulatory and management reporting, etc.)
Exposure in creating and working in share-points
Skills required:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), advance levels of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, excel workbook maintenance best practices)
Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Financials
Knowledge of Spotfire, Tableau, Cognos data analytics and visualization (or similar) a plus
Conceptual understanding of company-wide financial architecture (GL, sub-GL technology, specialized tools) applicable to the above process groups of processes
Senior-level communication skills, presentation skills, prior experience of interacting with multiple stakeholders (Legal Entity and Geography controllers) in NA, EMEA, APAC
First or second level management expertise required
Independent decision-making capabilities, demonstrated thought leadership
Pride of ownership with the ability to deliver high quality results timely

Strong analytical and ability to analyze and summarize complex financial transactions
