Document Custody India is an extension of leading Deutsche Bank Document Custody Ops in USA. Document Custody India is part of larger Trust & Agency Services (TAS) having over 1,500 clients ranging from multi-national corporations to banks and financial institutions, hedge funds, asset managers and supranational agencies around the world. TAS Ops support all types of transactions in the debt capital markets – from conventional to structured debt products, project finance, REITS and Islamic finance – and services for escrows, restructurings and exchanges, loan agency and document custody

Your key responsibilities
Trust & Agency Services (TAS) have over 1,500 clients ranging from multi-national corporations to banks and financial institutions, hedge funds, asset managers and supranational agencies around the world
TAS Operations support all types of transactions in the debt capital markets – from conventional to structured debt products, project finance, REITS and Islamic finance – and services for escrows, restructurings, exchanges, loan agency, depository receipts, structured finance and US Mortgage. This is a knowledge intensive role responsible for managing the Debt security lifecycle operations.
The role will require the individual to leverage a deep knowledge of the Debt Security domain working with department heads and engaging key stakeholders in projects and initiatives with a senior global reach.
The role has a number of key responsibilities:
Regulatory Change and Reporting – Keeping informed of upcoming regulatory change affecting the Debt product and interpreting that change to understand the impact on operations as well as ensuring the operations team are well informed, understand and implement the changes.
New Products/Business/Industry Initiatives – Working with the business as well as operations to understand the impact of new products or flows on the operational environment and assisting in the management of changes to ensure the business is managed with minimal risk and manual processing
Strategic Initiatives – Working with global stakeholders to identify, own and implement key strategic initiatives for the Debt platform. These may include opportunities to optimise the operating model, remodel the settlement flow to reduce external messaging charges or technology rationalisation.
Productivity/Process Improvement – Working with support groups in India as well as operations to understand the reason for exceptions at a granular level and to drive process improvement as well as a list of required technology enhancements.
Technology Enhancements – To work with the global team to identify, prepare business cases and assist in the prioritisation of changes to the various technology platforms
Risk Management – Working with operations leveraging domain expertise to ensure that risk is managed in an optimal way identifying and removing legacy controls or processes

12+ years of experience in Investment banking
Domain expertise on,
i. Debt product
ii. Asset Servicing
iii. Cash Payment Operation
iv. Depository Function
v. US Mortgage
vi. Depository Receipt
vii. Structured Finance
viii. Reconciliation
7+ years of People Management experience as the role will require managing teams across locations
Debt security lifecycle from pre-issuance until maturity
Identify correct document record by utilizing information like loan number, document date, borrower name and property address (Document Custody)
Will have good relationships with external market participants which may include agent banks, messaging networks or technology providers
Detailed understanding of the regulatory environment and upcoming changes
Ability to work under pressure and communicate well, being accurate and concise, ability to deliver to tight and demanding deadlines
Experience of working in a high volume environment with minimum supervision maintaining high motivation levels
Flexible, hard working approach maintaining accuracy and structure, driving closure and completeness
Will be expected to develop credibility and a good reputation with people across the globe
Demonstrate integrity with data, colleagues and Stakeholders
Must be a strong team player and motivator
Must be able to demonstrate a strong Risk and Control mindset
Professional and Personal Qualifications:
University Degree or equivalent

Relevant experience with an Investment Bank or Financial Institution
