DESCRIPTION
The FX Derivative Documentation Team consists of three groups: The Drafting Team, the Retrievals Team and the Verbal Affirmation Team. All teams focus on working to regulator guidelines and market wide best practice.
The Verbal Affirmation Team verbally confirm trades with clients prior to any settlement, minimizing firm risk and providing assurance that the trade economics are captured in a timely and accurate manner.
The Drafting team looks after the production of documentation for Interest rate and Credit Derivative trades for EMEA and Asia, ensuring accurate trade representation to match our internal risk bookings.
The Retrievals group is responsible for confirming that trades are agreed with counterparties, economic terms of the transactions are agreed and that we have sign off on the legal documents produced by the drafting group.
Responsibility for performance of various functions within the team as allocatedOrganise own day to day tasks per functional procedures to ensure all priority tasks are completed to deadline specifically using the appropriate systems/toolsReview weekly figures against designated metrics and provide status to Supervisor/Manager on reportable items where requiredIdentify risk issues, escalate where appropriate & provide assistance in resolvingActively ensure upward, downward & peer communication of developments and issues, facilitate problem solving discussionsDeal with regular queries from internal clientsCommunicate with immediate team members on day to day issues, business process improvements, ideas and resultsUnderstand the functions of the business supported and is able to consider the implications of their own actions within the groupTake responsibility for more complex transactions and functions in the teamProvide coaching and assist with the development of the junior team members and contribute to their workCarry out tasks related to the job in accordance with the instructions of the superior
QUALIFICATIONS
Secondary school degree
Strong numeracy and analytical skillsGood understanding of Fixed Income products including Interest rate products, credit derivatives and FX.Accuracy, attention to detail, good organization skillsHigh level EnglishSolid knowledge of Microsoft Office, and/or other relevant applications
