Job Description : BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for supporting the Enterprise Litigation and Enterprise Regulatory Examination Legal Team by working with HCSC lawyers, senior paralegals, business partners, and outside counsel on a variety of routine and complex matters. Duties will also include, but are not limited to interfacing with various business divisions, regulators, outside counsel, attending various interviews and preparing summaries of same, collecting documents, reviewing and preparing for production, and issuing legal holds. Position will also require assisting with all aspects of litigation matters from case inception to completion and responding to third-party subpoenas as needed.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate considering a career in law without the law firm stress of billable hours! The Legal Division is highly collaborative and supportive and will encourage regular involvement in matters considered significant to the company. Enhanced non-attorney professional programs are being launched for 2022 that will provide numerous additional development opportunities! JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certification OR 4 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department performing the functions of a Paralegal.
Software proficiency to include the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
Experience navigating various electronic databases and/or document repositories.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
Knowledge of the judicial system, court procedures, corporate policies, procedures, and company operations.
