Job Description : Overview
Successful, niche food manufacturer in Chicago seeks a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper.
Role
The Bookkeeper will fulfill a number of duties across multiple functional areas of the Company, primarily focused on record keeping and data integrity.
Responsibilities

Accounting / Finance
Accounts Payable: process timely payments to suppliers, after confirming invoice details and resolving any discrepancies
Manage & organize all Company outbound payments, including checks, credit card, ACH
Accounts Receivable
Participate in final production counts, records
Process outbound invoices to customers
Apply payments as received and monitor aging of accounts
Payroll
Review & confirm staff hours for both internal and external (staffing agency) employees
Transfer data from timekeeping software into payroll system
Shipping / Receiving
Verify inbound shipment paperwork
Log information in ERP inventory tracking system, including lot codes, expiration dates
Communicate with freight brokers to book inbound and outbound shipments
Misc
Additional tasks as assigned

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
The individual MUST be detail-oriented and reliableTask-oriented, able to keep up with high transaction volume
Excellent communicator, both written & verbal
Manufacturing experience (food manufacturing a plus)
Experience with ERP software (any brand)
Quickbooks experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour

Education:
