Job Description : Job summary

A school cashier handles money and makes financial transactions in a school setting. School cashiers may work for elementary, middle or high schools. The primary environment in which a school might place its cashier is the school cafeteria. However, school cashiers may also be responsible for special transactions and money collections, such as for fundraisers, field trips and book fairs .

Key responsibilities

Funds Management

School cashier must make change accurately each time. Tally the amounts received at the end of the day and compare the number to the total transaction amounts to ensure they match. If a discrepancy exists, the school cashier may be responsible for reconciling the amounts and investigating possible causes of the discrepancy.
A school cashier must keep careful track of his register and not allow unauthorized access to it.

Inventory

In-charge of keeping and maintains records of the names of students, teachers and parents who have paid for field trips.
Keep track of raffle tickets and fundraisers, must hand out tickets, keep track of ticket inventory and properly record all funds raised. During book fair sales, Cashier must accurately complete all transactions, ringing up merchandise totals and making correct change for purchases. Does record inventory totals and make change the records of inventory stocks.
Any additional tasks/project assigned to you by school or beam management.

Mandatory Qualification and Work Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 2 years Cashier experience
