Job Duties
Performs a variety of clinical clerical tasks, including answering telephones, typing documents, dealing with clients, and filing records. Provides services listed below to health department district which will require some weekly travel. Travel will be done on work time with a department vehicle.
Immunizations/Travel – Focus on vaccine-preventable diseases for children and adults
Vital Records – Birth and death certificates
Baby Your Baby – Baby Your Baby eligibility card to pay for routine prenatal care visits, OB ultrasounds, some pregnancy-related medications, and other outpatient pregnancy-related services for a limited amount of time.
Work Schedule
This is a part-job providing 25 hours a week. Work schedules could consist of Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, Wednesday/Thursday/Friday, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, etc. Hours of work are 8 hour days from 8-5 pm.
Skills/Abilities
Computer skills (google drive, Microsoft suite, etc)
Must be able to multitask
Good customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively verbally and writing
Spanish speaking STRONGLY preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or GED
Must possess a Utah valid driver’s license
Work Environment
May be required to stay at or return to work during public health incidents and/or emergencies to perform duties specific to this classification or to perform other duties as requested in an assigned response position. This may require working a non-traditional work schedule or working outside normally assigned duties during the incident and/or emergency.
