Job Description : Contract Manufacturing Specialist
Come Join our Lakanto R&D Team! This role will work closely with product development and production teams to secure and develop strategic manufacturing partnerships. This position will be responsible for sourcing, pursuing, and onboarding manufacturing for food products and homecare items.
Position Responsibilities:

Research and identify contract manufacturers and co-packers for new projects and/or assignments
Understand production requirements for each product to identify suitable manufacturers
Develop a co-packer database to identify and monitor production capabilities for each manufacturer
Negotiate pricing and ensure quality standards meet Saraya USA’s requirements
Ensure appropriate manufacturing agreements and contractual documents are accurate and setup with suppliers in a timely manner
Act as an effective communication link between the R&D and Operations team to ensure an effective on-boarding process and facilitate a smooth handover after on-boarding
Organize the shipment of ingredients and schedule initial trial runs to test product scale up and co-packer capabilities

Qualifications:

BS in food science, engineering, operations or related field
1-2 years of experience in CPG manufacturing & commercialization
General understanding of global food safety initiatives such as FSSC, SQF, BRC and general GMP certifications
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to successfully build relationships internally and externally, leveraging relations to achieve business goals
Excellent communication and negotiation skills required
Highly motivated, results-driven and able to work autonomously
Detail-oriented, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and ERP software

Salary: $52,000-57,000
