Position Requirements: High School diploma. 1 to 2 years previous experience in a contact center or similar patient/customer service environment 30 to 40 wpm Excellent communication skills Ability to problem solve Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a self-directed, remote online work environment Ability to handle a high call volume environment while maintaining professionalism and high performance
Willingness to work flexible hours Basic computer skills and navigation Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel helpful Ability to engage as needed with the boarder team Ability to follow processes and workflows
Medical terminology knowledge helpful Adapts rapidly to change and balances multiple priorities. Thinks quickly and uses appropriate judgment
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Purpose: This position is responsible for fielding and resolving the standard telephone calls and other contact methods in the Advocate Patient Contact Center. Expectations of this role include providing exceptional customer service, treating all callers with dignity and respect, striving to anticipate and meet the needs of Advocate patients, and working collaboratively with other contact center staff to achieve quality and performance standards
