Job Description : Do you have experience preparing and/or packaging perishable food products for grocery stores or restaurants? Are you a person who gets complimented on your attention to detail? Do you enjoy working with your hands? Are you cool working in a cool environment, around 40 – 50 degrees?
If so, we’d love to hear from you! Quari Ice (www.quari-ice.com) is a high-growth Chicago startup and we’re looking for an experienced packaging specialist to join our team. In addition to an hourly rate plus OT, each member of the team can take part in monthly profit-sharing and annual bonus. Most important, every member of the team becomes an owner of the company through stock options. We do not have employees at Quari Ice, we have owners. These are just a few of the things that separate our company from every other one out there.
Quari Ice is ultra-pure, crystal clear ice handcrafted to elevate everyday beverage experiences. It’s available for purchase at grocery stores and served at many of Chicago’s high-end restaurants and hotels. Our mission is to help level the playing field for people who need a second chance and we accomplish it by producing the best ice in the world.
This position is full-time and we are looking for someone to start immediately. As Quari Ice expands there will be opportunities for advancement in leadership, supervisory, and management positions.
If you meet the below criteria, we’d love to hear from you:
The ideal candidate:- Is reliable and a motivated self-starter- Has experience packaging or preparing food service product (preferably 2+ years)- Has an incident-free history (safety is our #1 priority)- Has an eye for detail- Is able to lift up to 30 pounds with ease; and has a delicate touch (our ice is as fragile as glass!)- Is flexible and doesn’t mind working OT (and sometimes one day per weekend)- Isn’t looking for a job but a career- Thinks and acts like an owner (because you WILL be an owner if you work here – see compensation details)
