Job Description : Our Client
Our client, one of the machineries companies, is looking for an experienced Data Centre & DBS Operator with hands on experience of Dealer Business System based on IBM AS 400 platform.
Your Responsibilities
Operates the DBS (Dealer Business System) based on IBM AS400 platform and all peripheral equipment
Responsible for the daily operations of DBS and the IBM AS400
Must be familiar with AS400 commands and function System (System IPL, system Libraries, files, copy, save, restore, create, delete etc.)
Monitors daily jobs and messages on all AS/400 applications
Conduct System performance tuning and system troubleshooting
Monitors all input/output of job queues
Control all services for all AS/400 related hardware equipment
Monitors job queue for server/job failure alerts
Assist users in the quick resolution of basic hardware and application problems
Creates, modifies and follow through with all IT Help Desk, email, and calls
Your Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years professional Information Technology experience working in AS/400 System Operations and basic Administration activities as well as based applications preferably DBS
Certification for AS/400 Operations
3-5 years’ experience on operating and administrating the DBS is highly desirable
To be able to provide hands-on support for system maintenance and operations
Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, etc.
CL Programing and File transfer skill and Basic programing
Can proactively work on disaster recovery plans
Experience in AS400 Security Management, Communications, and Operating System Upgrades and PTF deployment
Has performed at least one major AS400 system hardware upgrade and operating system upgrade
