Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to support our customers in all aspects of production equipment (from consultancy until designing and building). One of the main themes is Industry 4.0, with focus on manufacturing data intelligence and analytics.
You are responsible for
Understand the key drivers and issues that have impact on overall quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Able to translate operational issues into tangible solutions by using data modeling and analytical techniques using available data and present and discuss these to stakeholders.
Work together with equipment architects, process technologists and manufacturing/equipment/quality engineers to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment.
Delivering meaningful insights by using advanced technologies for analyzing and interpreting large complex data sets.
Analyze and advice regarding the relevance, quality and accuracy of the gathered data.
Signal opportunities and team up with others in the organization to realize these
Propose, plan and execute ideas to further develop the competences of the organization
You are a part of Philips Engineering Solutions an over 700-strong team of technology experts, designers, project managers and consultants who have decades of experience in supporting customers both inside and outside Philips – from major companies in sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing and healthcare to highly innovative start-ups.
The Manufacturing Systems and Industry 4.0 department of Philips Engineering Solutions is an organization, which support our customers in all aspects of production equipment (from consultancy until designing and building). One of the main themes is Industry 4.0, with focus on manufacturing data intelligence and analytics.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Master/Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field
Data science/analytics experience
Hands on experience with statistical analysis, applying various machine learning techniques, predictive modeling and data mining.
Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. R & Python)
Depth and breadth in quantitative knowledge. Excellent quantitative modeling, statistical analysis skills and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Microsoft Azure analytics (e.g. Azure Data Explorer) is highly preferred.
Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations.
