Job Description : Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (required) in education, counseling, or related field; masters preferred
Previous administrative or leadership experience (preferred)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency
Experience working with school-aged children
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, reconciliation, inclusion and equity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead and manage collaborative teams

Responsibilities:

SEL Instruction: Teach weekly Social Emotional Learning (SEL) classes in K-8th grades using the designated curriculum
Behavior Monitoring: Ensure CWSCS behavior policies are being consistently implemented and determine appropropriate consequences and restorative practices for student violations of behavior code; implement positive behavioral intervention plans and behavior contracts
High School Guidance: Guide middle school students and parents through high school research and application process to ensure every student has the opportunity to attend a quality, best-fit high school
Staff Training: Lead efforts in identifying and providing training on equity, diversity, culturally responsible practices and have willingness to extend his/her PD in this area; train staff and oversee school-wide implementation of SEL practices; work with school principal to provide coaching and mentoring to assigned staff members, as needed
Administrative Team: Participate in weekly administrative team meetings; serve as member of School Improvement Committee; serve as head of culture/climate committee
Systems Management: Improve school-wide systems including monitoring student attendance and behavior; identify and create systems as needed
Student Activities: Help shape school’s culture and climate and promote core values; collaborate with staff to plan and participate in community-building student activities throughout the school year
Parent Involvement: Work collaboratively with administrative team on parent involvement initiatives
Community partnerships: Identify and build partnerships to connect CWSCS families with external service providers

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
