Position : Dental Registration Representative

Job Description : Position SummaryDental Registration Representative operate the front office including: answering phone calls, managing the schedule of patients, managing patient accounts and managing insurance claims.Principal Duties and Responsibilities*

Answer phone calls and retrieve voicemail messages. Return calls as needed.
Direct phone calls to the appropriate staff.
Register new patients and make patient charts.
Make patient appointments and manage the schedule for maximum efficiency.
Place chart in the treatment area and notify staff when the patient arrives.
Collect patient payments. Enter patient payments in the computer.
Schedule return appointments for patients.
Create Medicaid and insurance claims. Track and process them until complete.
Confirm patient appointments 24 hours in advance.
File patient charts at the end of each day.
Print and post the schedule for the next day.
Pull charts for all patients appointed for the next day.
Print a Day sheet at the end of each day.
Reconcile daily deposit with the day sheet. Turn in daily deposit envelope to accounting department.
Make list of office supplies needed and give to the Dental Operations Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Operations Manager and Dental Director.

Requires experience and demonstrated abilities for working in a multi-cultural setting.
Ability to strongly embrace and personify the mission of the Lawndale Christian Health Center.
Ability to collaborate and interact with a diverse group of health care professionals.
Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately.
Excellent guest relations skills.

Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/Registration

High School diploma, or equivalent
