Title: Diagnostic Author II
DutiesCreates repair and diagnostic procedures for use by dealership technicians in solving vehicle problems for C&F productline.Occasionally may consult with a more senior author on diagnostic procedure designDevelops technical information describing the functional and operational characteristics of machine systemsResearches machine mechanical and electronic systems to determine their functional and operational characteristics.Evaluates the effectiveness of the system operation stories and diagnostic procedures making changes as required.Train new or less experienced authors.Keep oneself updated with latest John Deere Policies and Standards, and use the same as and when required .Contribute and support best practices principles for continuous improvement.Develops or changes diagnostic information day to day with some technical support from authoring, product support, or engineering personnel
Desired
Knowledge of Information development systems and software’s
Hands on experience in repairs and diagnostics of automotive / Construction equipments
Solid background required on electrical/electronic, hydraulic and powertrain systems
Aftermarket / Product Support/ Field / Engineering / PV&V experience. ”
Required
Ability to read electrical/Hydraulic drawing and schematics
Have understanding of CAN system
Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as Construction and Forestry product knowledge
Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Enterprise Customer and Product Support Processes
Knowledge of Construction products, customers support process, dealership operations.
Education
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile with 2-5 years of experience
