LiquaDry have an immediate opportunity for a high caliber, experienced Director of Operations to lead manufacturing operations and has the passion to drive results.
Job Summary:
Director of OperationsThe Director will manage plant operations and performance as it relates to product quality, production efficiency, food safety, regulatory compliance, service to sales, physical asset management, cost control, workplace safety, and employee training and development. This person is responsible for ensuring products are produced in a safe, sanitary environment conforming to recognized industry cGMP’s andFood Safety regulations and delivered in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications and expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead manufacturing and production operations in accordance with LiquaDry’s core values and customer expectations.
Manage performance of plant operations as it relates to quality, safety, productivity, cost control, service to sales, employee training and leadership development.
Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives.
Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to maximize output and minimize costs while ensure high quality
Assist to devise and implement QC processes at critical points in the manufacturing process.
Develop a work environment of continuous improvement and lead problem solving activities, new projects and process implementation and standardization.
Capable of leading and executing effective change management strategies.
Improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.
Partner with Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure SOP’s are in place and in practice, critical control points are managed, certifications are achieved and maintained, and sanitation is effective
Partner with engineering and maintenance to ensure equipment is designed and functioning to specifications.
Lead and cultivate team members to ensure skills are appropriately applied, learning and development are occurring, and proper levels of self-discipline are maintained.
Manage and resolve non-conformance and performance issues.
Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long- term operational plans.
This position will require minimal direction and supervision from the direct manager with a high degree of autonomy for decision making, utilizing escalation when needed.

Requirements:

Experience in food manufacturing, particularly with raw, organic, non-GMO food highly desired
Five or more years’ experience of production/general management in food manufacturing industry highly desired.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline
Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures.
Ability to work with, lead and manage a diverse workforce in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Solid understanding of OSHA, FDA, and Food Safety regulations.
High level of organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Excellent communications skills
Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Relocation to the greater Delta, Utah area
