Job Description : The County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services is seeking to fill the position of Director, Office of Diversion and Reentry. This position reports directly to the Director of Community Programs in the Department of Health Services. Per County Ordinance, the position is responsible for oversight and coordination of all County-wide diversion of persons who have mental illness or substance abuse issues, and persons who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless upon discharge. The position has full responsibility for guiding the strategic, administrative, and operational activities of the Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR). ODR is dedicated to preventing or reducing the incarceration and recidivism of youth and adults, with a focus on those suffering from mental illness and/or substance use disorders. This position is unclassified.
