OVERVIEW
At Dogdrop, we want our spaces to be enjoyable for humans and dogs, and to be the most convenient/hip option for every Member.
You’ll be responsible for the safety, supervision and direction of dogs in our care. People bring their dogs to Dogdrop to have a GREAT experience, so your role will be to make sure they can do that safely and with respect towards other dog members. You’ll keep your eyes on the dogs at all times, looking for signs of intensity increase or aggression. You won’t stop moving, you’ll be on your toes at all times, and you’ll communicate seamlessly with the rest of the team. You’ll redirect dogs repeatedly, so patience is a must.
Probation period of 90 days, your performance will be evaluated and possibly moved to full time status.
DETAILS
-You love dogs but know when to show affection and when not to. You know a bit about dog behavior, and are eager to learn the Dogdrop way of doing things.
– We expect someone with an outgoing personality and willingness to work in a team environment.
-You are extremely patient and always kind to our dog and human members.
-You’re quick to grab a mop or pick up after a dog (or 10!) and you know how to follow cleaning protocols. Always practicing the training you were given at onboarding.
-You’re punctual, reliable, and respectful.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring dogs in the park are safe all times, enjoying their time with us and going home worn out and happy! Dog and Droperators health and Safety is top priority.
If you are pulled away from watching the dogs, ensure someone is in the park. Never leave the Park unattended.
Communicates well with the rest of the team.
Continuously redirecting dogs to keep them playing in a safe, respectful manner.
You never scare, yell or punish dogs.
You use positive tones, cues and short breaks on the lead to redirect dogs.
You give dogs breaks and affection when it’s appropriate.
You learn the needs and triggers of each dog so you can help them fit better with the rest of the group.
You treat the dogs as individuals.
Help evaluate new dogs to determine if they are a fit at Dogdrop.
Maintaining a clean and pleasant facility by following the outlined cleaning procedures set forth by Dogdrop.
Helping human guests with respect and courtesy.

Expected of you:

Standing/walking for long periods of time.
You know how to handle your own stress levels around a lot of noise and anxious dogs.
Knowing the signs of stress and aggression in dogs and working with them to improve if possible.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)

Animal care: 1 year (Preferred)
