Program and Training in the Workforce Development Division (WDD) with the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill an Employment Supervisor position in the Salt Lake City office on the Statewide Employer Services Team. Supervised by: Samantha Teh Principal Duties An Employment Supervisor in this position performs the following tasks:

Supervising subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring, evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.
Interpreting economic service area strategic plans and developing team goals to meet these requirements.
Participating in economic service area planning.
Participating in educational work groups and committees and providing input.
Writing policy and procedure.
Implementing new policy, procedural and pathway/workflow changes.
Training and presenting to large groups of individuals.
Reading and reviewing federal regulation to determine potential impacts and implementation strategies.

The Ideal Candidate
The model candidate for this position is someone who:

Has previous experience working with employers.
Has previous supervisory and training experience.
Can maintain composure and respond appropriately in stressful, emergency, volatile, or crisis situations.
Is familiar with UWORKS.
Has knowledge of DWS programs and services.
