Job Description : Join the Sea World Abu Dhabi pre-opening team in the role of Entertainment Manager!
In this role you will be responsible for the daily operations of the Entertainment Department including entertainment related offerings in the park, while providing guidance and leadership to the Entertainment colleagues.
You’ll work with the team as an active participant in achieving artistic goals, ensuring consistent quality, sharing knowledge, leading and supporting operation and execution of the park’s entertainment while promoting a culture of positivity and creativity in the workplace.
Job Scope:
Develops a creative, collaborative culture within teams throughout all parks and leads the Entertainment operations teams ensuring a positive and supportive work environment
Works with Entertainment and Event teams and interdepartmental partners (including, but not limited to, the Zoological teams), as an active participant, guaranteeing a high level of performance and technical production values for all entertainment offerings
Plans and oversees the execution of the Entertainment daily program
Leads operational teams of Support Managers, Assistant Managers, Assistant Technical Managers, Team Leaders, Performers, Animators and Stagehands
Develops and distributes show schedules
Ensures planning and execution of budgets, forecasts expenses, tracks and reports as appropriate
Set team’s KPIs, and tracks and reports results
Supports production and execution of shows and events
Schedules and leads meetings as required
Assembles show manuals and documentation for both working use and historical archives
Oversees inspections, installation in the theatres and show/entertainment areas as needed
Conducts appraisals as per company’s policies
Takes part in coaching and counselling matters and provides guidance and mentorship to Entertainment colleagues
Understands and actively participates in environmental, health & safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures and training
Represents Entertainment management in corporate functions as needed
Performs other duties as reasonably requested
To be considered for this role, you will need:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree (or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience)
5 years or more leading a team in the entertainment industry – large scale productions/events or other similar role
Proven leadership; communication skills;
Experience with procurement and entertainment contracting;
Proficiency in both spoken and written English;
Experience with events and shows calling; scheduling; manual writing
Report creation and distribution;
Desirable:
Master’s Degree in a relevant area
8 years previous experience in entertainment in theme parks
Experience working in a diverse international environment
Theme park/theatre venue pre-opening experience
Experience working with and around animals, event planning; stage management;
Knowledge of lighting, sound and projection systems; winch operation; rigging; video editing;
Music knowledge and performance experience;
Knowledge to read blueprints and related construction/design documentation
