Job Description : Join a global professional services leader. We are committed to solving the world’s biggest challenges in the areas of water, energy and urbanization.
The role includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
Preparation and review of technical reports.
Preparation of proposals.
Supervision and training of staff.
Maintain and develop client relationships.
Job management of various projects including EIA, Auditing, EHMS etc.
Team member on projects when required.
Provide leadership and planning and coordinate the resources for each job, including inputs from other offices, sub consultants and other suppliers.
Manage all jobs to deliver them on time, within budget, to adopted standards and to the satisfaction of the client.
Provide technical expertise on jobs and assist the development of other staff through appropriate supervision and training.
Develop client relationships through regular communications relating to job progress.
Anticipate client needs and respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
Provide supervision, guidance, and feedback to professional, technical and support staff when required.
Foster and facilitate the harmonious working relations between members, the development of teamwork and development of individual team members. Provide clear directions, support and communication.
Contribute to the job goals through your areas of technical expertise.
Plan and manage activities for a successful outcome in accordance with client needs.
Contribute to the effective utilization of the firm’s resources by preparing program and cost budgets for in-house work and sourcing personnel required in conjunction with Business Group leaders.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Bachelor degree qualifications in an environmental science or science discipline.
A sound understanding of current legislation in the UAE and international best practices.
Proven experience in the management of small to medium size/complexity projects.
Experience and qualification in terrestrial ecology preferred.
Strong team development skills; a team player.
Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, open communication.
Good people relationship and networking skills.
Focus on client service.
Ability to manage several jobs at once and determine priorities.
Strong judgment and decisiveness; bias for action.
Leadership skills – cooperative with other staff, good coaching skills.
Ability to influence others, good negotiating skills.
Understand and adhere to GHD’s values, Codes of Conduct, and Policies.
