Working on the Early/Head Start Network (EHSN) team, you will provide support to community-based agencies to enable them to implement high quality, Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
The Family Support Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, monitoring, training, and support of the Family Support Specialists. This includes collaborating with content area coordinators in the regular monitoring of case files and data entry into Child Plus, coordinating training and orientation for the Family Support Specialists on systems, policies and procedures as developed by grantee to ensure compliance with Early/Head Start standards, with particular focus on the areas of Parent, Family and Community Engagement (PFCE).
This position collaborates with Healthy Parents & Babies staff around engagement and improvement strategies that ensure strong family partnerships throughout. Healthy Parents & Babies produces the greatest possible outcomes for the children and families enrolled.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Family Support Coordinator will:

Directly supervise, coach, and mentor Family Support Specialists to ensure the entire FSS team employ the best practices in the execution of their role. Share any developments or challenges with Program Manager, to secure additional support and resources as deemed necessary.
Coordinate training and provide regular oversight and reflective supervision to FSS team on systems, policies and procedures, as well as effective practices in family support and engagement.
Monitor the accuracy and completion of FSS files and alignment with database entry into Child Plus. Support facilitation of Family Child Reviews and transition from the Doulas.
Work in collaboration with the Program Manager, Health Coordinator, and Doula Coordinator in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the annual outreach/recruitment plan. Actively engage in the recruitment and enrollment of participants and ensure appropriate documentation and qualification of new participants.
Monitor and secure Linkage Agreements with other service providers to improve service delivery systems, referral pathways, and community partnerships.
Maintain a tracking system options, ensuring accurate data for MARs (Monthly Administrative Reports), PIR (Program Information Report), and other reporting as indicated.
Coordinate with the Health and Nutrition Coordinator to provide trainings and resources to staff and parents, hearing and vision screenings, development of Individual Health Plans, medication management, and general health support to all programs.
Ensure compliance with all Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Qualifications:

B.S. degree in social work or related field required, plus three years of experience working with children age 0-5 and their families and experience in a supervisory role; MSW or similar degree preferred.
Minimum of one to three years of experience working in early childhood/family support or home visiting program.
Knowledgeable of theories and principles of healthy child growth and development.
Ability to establish supportive relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Solid understanding of community resources, family welfare, and government assistance programs.
Knowledge of community resources and capacity to develop community cooperation to ensure that families receive comprehensive services.
Communicate effectively and function well with families, children, staff, and various professional community groups.
Must be able to transport clients in agency vehicles.
Must have strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Deep commitment in advancing diversity, racial equity, and inclusion into organizational routines and practice.
Effectively establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.
Comfort and experiences in handling risk and uncertainty to move work forward.

SALARY: $60,000 – $65,000
