Job Description : Knowledge and Experiencee

Degree in accounting, finance or relevant field
10+ years accounting experience
Proven experience as an accountant / cost accountancy
Steel background an absolute must
Excellent organizing abilities
Leadership qualities and effective teamworking skills.
Great attention to detail
Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Expertise with SAP or any other leading ERP system
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
Managing team of 3-5 jr. accountants, bookkeepers, and clerks
Delegation and assignment of daily duties and responsibilities within finance team

Job Requirements:

Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
Manage financial systems and budgets
Undertake financial audits
Provide financial advice
Liaise with clients and provide financial information and advice
Review the company’s systems and analyse risk
Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
Preparation accounts for monthly/yearly closings
Assist with other accounting projects
Ensure that statements and records comply with laws and regulations
Inspect account books and accounting systems to keep up to date
Organize and maintain financial records
Improve businesses efficiency where money is concerned
Make best-practices recommendations to management
Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues and improve profits
Ad-hoc queries as required by management or peers
