Job Description : A food line production worker at Wheatland Seed is part of a team that packages dry edible beans, wheat, rice and sugar into bulk (20 lb containers) and maintains FDA food safety cleanliness. The team members are led by a Plant Supervisor who works beside fellow team members to receive product, elevate it through our plant, clean product on high speed cleaners and then package the product.
Initially tasks in a typical day will include bagging, supervised construction, mixing product and cleaning loose product. After orientation and training other tasks will include forklift operation, cleaner & mixer operations and leg operation and repair.
Optional summer hours may include a 6.30am to 2.30 pm shift.
Team members receive a Production bonus based on unit production up to $2/hr.
Additionally upon completing probation (90 days) employees are eligible to participate in paid holidays (4 days/year) paid time off (5days/year), retirement plan 100% paid by employer ($4-6,000/year), Tuition Reimbursement ($2,500/year) and Medical Benefits consultation annually.
