Job Description : General Clerk
Work Location: Ogden, UT
Hours of Operation: Day, night, or swing shift, as specified by the IRS
Cape Fox is seeking highly motivated professionals to immediately join our team in support of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Wage and Investment (W&I) Submission Processing operations at the three service centers. This is an urgent need to address the significantly increased volume of paper tax returns and correspondence linked to the CARES and ARPA act where taxpayers are filing paper returns and submitting correspondence related to the stimulus payments. These positions are contingent upon award.
Core Duties:
Perform general clerical work including filing, sorting, batching, or grouping documents
Open mail from incoming deliveries
Retrieve documents from files, file documents, and associate documents with existing files
Stamp documents with information such as received date and numbers
Prepare documents for scanning according to instructions by carefully removing all staples from the document, and repairing rips, tears, or large holes
Prepare paper tax returns for numbering and transcription
Perform pen and ink changes on paper returns
Other General Clerical work as assigned

Requirements:
Previous clerical, office, or other work that indicates the ability to acquire the competencies needed to perform the duties of the position as outlined
Complete Contractor Security Training requirements prior to onboarding
Background investigations are required for each contracted employee due to the required access to sensitive but unclassified information, security items or products. At the discretion of IRS Personnel Security, a new background investigation may not be required for contracted employees with recent or current favorable Federal Government investigations; however, inclusion on the Risk Assessment Checklist will still be required to be cleared to be on this contract. IRS Personnel Security will conduct pre-screen adjudication checks on all contractor employees to verify the IRS basic eligibility and suitability requirements. The six eligibility and suitability criteria must meet prior to the initiation of a full background investigation are:
Must be Federal tax compliant having both filed and paid any taxes due in a timely manner or be on an approved payment plan with the IRS and be current with payments
Must have an acceptable FBI criminal history fingerprint and name check
Must have two forms of identification from the Form I-9 to complete a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process
All males born after 1959 must be compliant with Selective Service Registration law
Must consent to credit history check resulting in acceptable determination by the Government
Must complete Standard Form (SF) 85 and Optional Form (OF) 306 questions 1, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17a via e-QIP for Government review
