Job Description : International Paper is a global leader in paper and packaging products. For over 100 years, IP has been known for our commitment to the environment, and for our innovative, sustainable and recyclable products.
At our Bell Container Plant, we run high-speed machines to make the corrugated boxes that are loaded on trucks and stacked on the shelves of your stores. As an entry-level production worker, you will learn about our operation from start to finish. You will be assigned to various tasks as needed, receiving on-the-job training. Over time, you will be gain more skills and responsibility. Specifically, you will do the following work:
Set up the materials, including paper, inks, and glues, to start a production run
Assist the operator to set up and run machines
Watch the flow of materials, assist with correcting machine jams
Monitor for quality, and pull damaged product from the line
Make sure that product is being stacked and counted correctly
Take finished goods to pallets
Tag loads with correct labels
Clean machining areas after each job, removing scrap, flushing ink, unmounting dye boards
Assist mechanics in machinery repair or other tasks as needed
Assist shipping department as needed
Shift: four-days-on, four-days-off 12-hour shifts
Starting Wage: $27.31 per hour
Signing and Retention Bonus: up to $1500 paid over the first year
Requirements:
Able to work a four-days-on/four-days-off 12-hour shift, and must be able to fill-in as needed on either the day or the night shift
Have a full range of body and hand movement; able to lift or push up to 50 lbs.
Able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen
Must be 18 years old
