General Office Supply Associate or Receptionist I
Overview
The Southern California IBEW-NECA Administrative Corporation is looking for a General Office Supply Associate or Receptionist I. We are seeking a positive, team-oriented candidate who has strong customer service skills. If this sounds like an opportunity you would be interested in, we’d like to talk with you. Responsibilities
Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen or forward calls.
Greet visitors entering the Administrative Trust Funds Office, determine nature and purpose of the visit, and direct them to specific department/personnel.
Collect, sort, distribute mail, fax messages and courier deliveries.
Maintain/update demographic information in the core system.
Maintain, restock and inventory of business supplies.
Ability to compose and edit template letters.
Prepare documents and reports for in-house scanning system.
Maintain in-office HIPAA protocols at all times. Inform staff, visitors and new employees on privacy rules related to HIPAA protected information.
Provide general clerical assistance to the Administrative Services Department which may include cross-departmental assignments with time sensitive and confidential matters.
Additional duties may be assigned by the Department Director, as needed.
Education
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with at least 2 to 3 years working experience in an administrative office and demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced workload and call-center.
Experience & Requirements
Strong organizational and follow-up skills; ability to multi-task; and work under minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and be discreet with all matters.
Ability to be flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, assignments and other interruptions which may impact pre-established timelines for completing assignments.
Ability to interact with the public and other individuals in a courteous, professional and efficient manner.
Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word (sort function and mail merge).
Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
May be required to lift and move boxes (average of 20 pounds).
Ability to communicate orally with Spanish speaking participants preferred, but not required.
Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m.-5:30p.m. and may be required to work overtime depending on the departmental needs.
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage rate of $22.34-24.83 (compensation will be commensurate with experience, skills, education and training).

The Southern California IBEW-NECA Administrative Corporation is a non-profit corporation that administers the employee benefit programs for thousands of Active and Retired members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) and has been administering the Health and Retirement benefits to Plan Participants located throughout the greater Los Angeles area for several decades.
The Admin Corp office presently employs approximately 50 employees, all exclusively dedicated to providing quality administrative services.
